Definition

The average score across clients on employment self-sufficiency.

This is used for pre-post scoring. In addition to creating an average score for each domain, totals for the 18 domains of the Arizona matrix can be reported.

Rationale

The Self-Sufficiency Matrix is a reliable and valid measure that allows case managers to develop a more holistic view of their clients. The five-point scale is simple to use and to create reports. The matrix is used by the Trillium Foundation.

Computation Rule:

Sum of all client scores on this domain.
A count of clients with a self-sufficiency score in this domain.

Numerators

One data element. A five point scale rating an individual's self-sufficiency in a particular domain, from 1 "in crisis" to 5 "empowered".
